Parklandia (in partnership with iHeart Media) was about more than parks. It was about who gets to feel like they belong in them.
I supported the project through narrative and content strategy—shaping podcast scripts and building a social media approach that made the stories easier to find, easier to share, and more reflective of the people listening.
As an LGBTQ+ voice in the outdoor space, I brought an equity lens to the work—helping expand the story beyond the usual perspective and making room for underrepresented communities to see themselves in the landscape.
This project is a reminder of what I believe to be true: visibility isn’t the goal. Being understood is. And when storytelling is done with care, it can shift who feels welcome.
